Arttu Silvast (b. 1981) is a Finnish composer and musician born in the small coastal town of Hanko and now based in Helsinki. Known for his evocative blend of neoclassical and ambient music, Silvast’s work frequently incorporates traditional instruments, lending his compositions a distinctively cinematic quality.

Silvast began his career as a music journalist and editor before focusing on composition. After spending five years living in Asia, he started creating soundtracks for documentaries and TV series, developing a reputation for his passionate, atmospheric style. In addition to his solo releases, he has composed and produced a significant catalogue of library music, collaborating with Cézame Music Agency in Paris and Universal Music in Stockholm. His work has earned multiple award nominations, showcasing his skill and versatility.
